Definition of Load Cases to be calculated

A Load Case contains directly assigned load definition data and/or Load Sets, which on their part contain individual load definition data.

SettingDescription
Upper table: Table of Load Cases
SettingDescription
Name Name of the Load Case
Dur-type Code, defining whether the load case is permanent
LMng Category of load cases , to which the current load case belongs
Const-Fac Factor for factorising the directly defined loading  (the assigned named Load Sets have their own factors!)
Var-Fac Time dependency diagram - Variable (formula or table) describing the time developing of a factor for the directly defined loads (total factor in dynamic analyses = Const-Fac + Var-Fac ! )
Note: The function Var-Fac describes the time dependency of the  deviation of the load from a constant level. Const-Fac has to be set to 0.0, if the time dependency of the actual loading is specified!
Increase defines, whether the directly defined loads will be varied  (increased) in the functions Buckle and Failure (separate code for Load Sets). Irrelevant for normal load case calculation.
Lower table: Table of Load Data
SettingDescription
LSet Name of the assigned Load Set (if loading is given in Load Sets)
Load Type Code for the Load Type (see Appendix) (only for directly defined data)
Assembly | From, To, Step Loaded assembly or elements  (only for directly defined data)
Proj Code for the load application length  (only for directly defined data)
  • d: real length
  • p: projection
  • k: element load applied as nodal load
  • Qy: surface load multiplied by CS width
  • Qz: surface load multiplied by CS depth
Data1/Const Data in accordance with the current Load Type (for directly defined data) or constant factor for the loading data of the Load Set.
Data2/Var Data in accordance with the current Load Type (for directly defined  data) or Variable describing the time developing of the Load Set loading. (Total factor in dynamic analyses = Const + Var ! )
Data3/Incr Data in accordance with the current Load Type (for directly defined data, or Code, defining whether the assigned Load Set will be varied (increased) in the functions Buckle and Failure.
Data4, Data5, Data6 Data in accordance with the current Load Type  (only for directly defined load data)
